Nandan Denim is all set to focus on fabric making and emerges as one of the largest denim suppliers in the world. The Ahmedabad-based company has increased its denim capacity from 76 million metres per annum (mmpa) in 2014 to 99 mmpa by March 2015. The company will expand its capacity further to reach 110 million metres per day by March 2016.
Once the expansion project will be commissioned, the company’s exports will contribute about 30 per cent of the overall business in two years. Besides denim fabric capacity, the company is also expanding spinning and shirting segments. At present, the company’s export revenues are 13 per cent of the overall business of Rs 281 crore for the June quarter.
