Monsanto India drops on reporting 16% fall in Q3 net profit

Monsanto India is currently trading at Rs. 2050.00, down by 41.40 points or 1.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 2091.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2045.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2117.80 and Rs. 2016.70 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3539.90 on 23-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2016.70 on 09-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2157.50 and Rs. 2016.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,538.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.14% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.34% and 20.52% respectively.

The company has reported 15.68 % fall in its net profit at Rs 40.76 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 48.34 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 12.71% to Rs 156.45 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 138.81 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
