Monsanto India trades with traction on turning black in Q4

Monsanto India is currently trading at Rs. 2258.00, up by 76.85 points or 3.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 2181.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2250.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2282.00 and Rs. 2230.00 respectively. So far 21449 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3376.55 on 24-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1520.00 on 11-Apr-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2282.00 and Rs. 2078.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3918.64 crore.

Monsanto India has reported a net profit of Rs 24.08 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to a net loss of Rs 8.25 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 31.82% at Rs 93.21 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 70.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a fall of 4.75% in its net profit at Rs 101.25 crore as compared to Rs 106.30 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company decreased 3.80% at Rs 555.75 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 577.69 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
