Monsanto India slips on reporting 10% fall in Q1 net profit

Monsanto India is currently trading at Rs. 2272.00, down by 27.70 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 2299.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2267.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2318.95 and Rs. 2231.30 respectively. So far 6,766 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3286.90 on 06-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1520.00 on 11-Apr-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2374.05 and Rs. 2228.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,922.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.90% and 19.95% respectively.

The company has reported a fall of 9.86% in its net profit at Rs 56.60 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 62.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 8.77% to Rs 242.71 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 266.03 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
