Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea has decided to sell one of the tea estates of the company namely, Namsang Tea Estate to Rossell India at a consideration of Rs 28.29 crore, subject to the approval of the shareholders. Namsang Tea Estate is situated at Jeypore in Assam.
The board at its meeting held on April 20, 2012 has approved for the same. Further, the company is going ahead with the postal ballot process, to get the approval of the shareholders as per the Companies Act, 1956 for the aforesaid purpose.
Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea is the flagship company of the Kolkata based Dhunseri group belonging to Dhanuka family. The company is engaged in cultivation, manufacture and sale of tea with 11 tea gardens (all of them located in and around Assam) and manufacturing of PET resins.
