Bank of Maharashtra declines on reporting net loss of Rs 455.45 crore in Q4

Bank of Maharashtra is currently trading at Rs. 36.45, down by 1.05 points or 2.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 37.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 37.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 37.40 and Rs. 35.85 respectively. So far 97834 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 40.70 on 04-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 25.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 40.70 and Rs. 35.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4381.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.61%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.36% and 5.02% respectively.

Bank of Maharashtra has reported a net loss of Rs 455.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to a net loss of Rs 119.84 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 5.94% at Rs 3354.80 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3566.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 1372.51 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 100.69 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 3.57% at Rs 13570.03 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 14072.27 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, on the consolidated basis, the Bank has posted a net loss of Rs 1356.09 crore as compared to a net profit of Rs 118.19 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 3.57% at Rs 13586.79 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 14090.18 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.
