Dhunseri Petrochem gains on plans to buy tea estates overseas

Dhunseri Petrochem is currently trading at Rs. 112.00, up by 0.85 points or 0.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 111.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 112.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 112.95 and Rs. 111.95 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.90 on 26-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 100.00 on 5-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 114.85 and Rs. 107.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 395.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.69% and 20.80% respectively.

Dhunseri Petrochem, a Kolkata-based company, is planning to buy tea estates overseas. It aims to increase tea production to 20 million from existing 13.5 million. Recently, company has sold one of its tea estates in Assam that is Namsang Tea Estate for a consideration of Rs 28.29 crore.

The entity is also planning to sell another factory and is in negotiations process. The company’s new leaf factories are expected to achieve the targeted quantity of 3 mn kg tea, depending on the availability of quality green leaf at competitive rates.
