Reliance Media & Entertainment Fund has acquired 158,097 shares in multiplex chain operator, Cinemax India in an open market transaction. The shares were bought at an average price of Rs 77.80 valuing the deal to Rs 1.22 crore on National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Cinemax India operates one of the largest exhibition theatre chains in India with 36 properties with 123 screens. It is the largest multiplex chain in the Mumbai region. Cinemax runs ‘Red Lounge’ at Bandra, Versova and Thane.
