Nandan Exim to expand denim capacity; forays into new era of shirting production

Nandan Exim, a flagship Company of Ahmedabad based Chiripal Group, has forayed into new era of shirting production and proposed to expand its denim capacity in order to grab the opportunity of increasing demand in domestic and international market and to compete and diversify its activities to cater to the need of customers. The company is the second largest integrated denim manufacturing industry of India.

The company is planning to invest Rs 814 crore in said expansion project. Further, the company has proposed for additional capacity of 42 million meter per annum denim fabrics inclusive of installation of spinning of 8 open end lines and 57,840 spindles and 336 numbers of looms. The company has also proposed to diversify into new era of 15 million meter per annum shirting capacity.

Post expansion, the capacity will be 112 million meter per annum denim fabrics and 15 million meter shirting. The project is expected to be completed by January 2015 and it will also generate direct employment potential of more than 750 personnel.

Nandan Exim is engaged in the business of manufacturing the denim and weaving of the grey fabric. It has also set up its own spinning unit as a step towards backward integration and has also forayed into the readymade garment segment. With this the company has integrated manufacturing facilities across the textile value chain from spinning to weaving and garments.
