Atlas Copco India (ACI) has decided to make industrial and portable compressors at its second compressor manufacturing facility in India at Chakan. It will continue to produce oil-free compressors and quality air products at its existing facility at Dapodi.

The new facility with an investment of Rs 100 crore, will have six production lines for compressors, three each for use in general industry and construction sector, and make customized variants of 40 products. The localization in these products will vary from 40-80% depending on the product.
