Mukta Arts edges higher on collaborating with DY Patil

Mukta Arts is currently trading at Rs 31.90, up by 0.10 points or 0.31% from its previous closing of Rs 31.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 32.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 33.15 and Rs 31.45 respectively. So far 1683 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 44.80 on 18-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 23.75 on 26-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 34.00 and Rs 29.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 72.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.37% while Non-Institutions held 29.63% of the stake.

Whistling Woods International (WWI) a subsidiary of Mukta Arts has joined hands with DY Patil to set up an Institute of Film, Media & Communication. The DY Patil - Whistling Woods Film & Media School will be set up in Maharashtra's emerging education hub - DY Patil Knowledge City in Pune.

The DYP - WWI Film & Media School will commence operations from August 2013. The collaborative film and media school will offer students from across the country integrated undergraduate courses in film-making, animation, media and communication, and a MBA in Media & Entertainment. The 3-year degree film-making course will feature a twinning model where the students will spend the final 18 months at the Whistling Woods Mumbai Campus and thereby be exposed to the cultural experience of studying in Mumbai's Filmcity.

Mukta Arts is engaged in various areas of film making such as production, distribution, exhibition and imparting education.
