Bhagwandas Metals Limited (BML) is one of the leading manufacturers of Hi-strength Deformed Bars (HSD Bars/CTD Bars) in South India. Since its inception in 1982 , BML has undertaken several modernization programmes to augment production and upgrade the quality of the product to cater to the increasing demands. As a result, BML's products have been known for their superior quality.

The company manufactures hi-strength Deformed Steel Bars (also called Cold Twisted Deformed Bars ) conforming to IS specifications. Conventionally, mild steel rods were used in most of the construction industry. There was a need to bring out some other product with more strength in terms of both higher yield and bond strength and could also reduce the usage of steel in construction. This urge led to the introduction of HSD Bars which brought about a revolution in the re-inforced concrete construction industry.

The use of HSD Bars led to a saving of about 40-60% ( depending upon the grade of product used ) in terms of quantity of steel as compared to mild steel rods. In addition, due to higher bond strength and hyper resistance in the HSD Bars, the safety and life of the structures improved significantly and thus they were most apt for usage in all minor and major construction activities like dams, harbours, bridges etc.

The promoters of the company are in the field since 1965 and are seasoned with rich experience backed by a dedicated and qualified technical team and with most modern plant. This enables the company to maintain the quality meticulously along with giving prompt deliveries at most competitive rates.

The plant of the company is spread about an area of about 5 acres located at Manali, Chennai which is one of the most developed industrial areas in Chennai. It is also the nearest in proximity to the upcoming Sathangadu wholesale steel market in Manali. The mill is completely automatic with state-of-art facilities. The excellent roll design, superior roll quality and roller guides ensure that the product is defect free and consistent.

A full fledged Laboratory consisting of modern methods of chemical, metallurgical and physical quality testing helps to monitor the quality as a continous process. The shop floor is well equipped with a large workshop with latest techniques and lathes to ensure trouble free production. The Factory also has a computerised weigh bridge for accurate weighment

Product range of the company includes:
