Reliance Power rises on reporting marginal rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 98.05, up by 0.75 points or 0.77% from its previous closing of Rs. 97.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 96.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 98.85 and Rs. 96.50 respectively. So far 1118293 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 139.40 on 06-Mar-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.50 on 21-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 98.85 and Rs. 90.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27139.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.87% and 12.68% respectively.  

Reliance Power has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2012.

The company, on consolidated basis, has reported 2.01% rise in its net profit after tax, minority interest at Rs 240.22 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 235.48 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has rose 121.35% at Rs 1079.21 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 487.55 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Reliance Power is a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group and is established to develop, construct and operate power projects domestically and internationally.
