M&M's two wheeler sales in Gujarat surges in May

Mahindra Two Wheelers part of diversified Mahindra Group in Gujarat sold 1,110 scooters and motorbikes in May, registering a growth of 88 percent over last fiscal. The company has sold 591 units in May last year.

Mahindra Two Wheelers growth was mainly by the fact that there has been a good acceptance of its brands since the launch. The quality, reliability and durability of its products have played a major role in this. The company has also done some innovative brand building and brand experiential activities over the last one year. Along with this the network has also improved and a lot of efforts were been put by the company dealer’s.

Mahindra Two Wheelers offers four products across categories to cater to a range of consumer segments. Mahindra Rodeo is a contemporary looking bike for the Indian youth while Mahindra Duro is especially positioned as a family scooter. On the other hand Mahindra Flyte is targeted at women. Apart from this there is Stallio, the first motorcycle from the Mahindra stable.

The company has sold 10,970 units across the country in May, an increase of 36 percent over same period last fiscal. Cumulative sales in the first two months of the current fiscal stood at 20,525 units, a growth of 20 percent over the same period last year when the sales stood at 17,055 units respectively. The company has also managed to cross the 250,000 units sales figure across India, while the Rodeo alone has crossed a figure of 100,000 units.
